• I began violin lessons at age 5, almost 6.
  • I started playing violin because my big sister played. I watched her lessons each week…
  • I wasn’t a Suzuki student, and I didn’t like to practice.
  • I knew I loved chamber music at an early age.
  • In Junior High, my parents had to tell me to turn down the Beethoven on my stereo.
  • I switched to the viola when I was a senior in high school.
  • In college, I played table-side in a little Italian restaurant with the most delightful accordion player you could ever know. (see below)
  • I was incredibly lucky to have two very special teachers that took me completely under their wing.  I hope to do the same for my students.
  • To this day, my favorite way to make music is with my dad and sister… just playing around in our living room.
  • I am thankful that my parents pushed me as hard as they did to practice each day.
  • Becoming a Suzuki teacher has completely changed my life.
  • I believe that every child can learn to play music beautifully.
